Mercury Card of the Day

Brittney Griner
Griner owns the paint, controlling every inch of the interior by snagging rebounds at an impressive rate and rejecting shots at the rim like a club bouncer. In her first eight seasons in the WNBA, the center recorded 1,646 boards and racked up 658 blocks - third most in league history.

Peggle currently serves as the head coach at Texas A&M.

In 2021, the fans voted Taurasi as the WNBA's Greatest Player of All Time. "This well-deserved recognition reflects her sustained excellence on the court and her leading role in advancing the WNBA and women's basketball and being a role model for young athletes everywhere," said league commissioner Cathy Engelbert.

A 1999 rookie from Louisiana Tech, Amanda saw limited action in her first WNBA season. She opened her rookie year impressively with a career high 6-point, 2-rebound effort at Orlando.
