Name that player!

Falcons all-time leading rusher and run-scorer with 6,631 yards and 48 touchdowns...Holds 10 other club rushing marks, including most yards gained in season (1,719 in 1985), most yards gained in game (202 against New Orleans, 1984), and most 100-yard games in season (nine, 1985)... Missed almost half of 1988 season with knee injury, but named NFC offensive player of week for 115 rushing and 64 receiving yards in win against 49ers.

In his final season in with the Jets, Abraham reached double figures in sacks for the fourth time in his six-year career - a team-leading total of 10.5. He also popped loose six fumbles (his career high and the third-best total in the NFL in 2005) including two against the Raiders (12/11). His season-high 13 tackles came vs. the Jaguars (9/25).

Jamal is built solidly and is meant to carry a load - that much was clear in the 1997 season. Atlanta's fortunes seemed to be proportional to the extent of his role, as the team was only 1-7 when he carried the ball 17 or fewer times, but 6-2 when he lugged it more. Anderson topped 1,000 yards for the second straight year with a 152-yard effort in the finale against Arizona.

Back to the Front! Falcons card back du jour...

Ed Reed
Reed produced one of the longest possible plays during Week 12 of 2008. The ball hawk picked off a Philadelphia pass from deep in the end zone, then sprinted for a 107.yard touchdown return. It was just barely the longest pick-six of his career, besting the 106-yard return he had in 2004.
