Dolphins Card of the Day

Jaylen Waddle
For what it's worth, Waddle didn't need the extra game (the NFL went to a 17-game schedule in 2021) to establish a league record for catches by a rookie. He should take extra pride in having amassed 104 receptions in 16 games and topping the mark (101) set by Arizona's Anquan Boldin in 2003.

One of the AFC's most promising young cornerbacks. Troy was selected by local media as Dolphins' best defensive back in 1993. His season was cut short due to serious knee injury suffered Dec. 13 vs. Pittsburgh on a punt return. Placed 3rd in 1993 NFL's Fastest Man Competition.

Bob Griese
The miracle of the Dolphins became an actuality when they reached the AFC Playoffs with a 45-7 win over the Bills, 12-20-70. It was the club's 6th win in a row and in that period, Bob completed 60 of 87 passes for 843-yards and a completion percentage of 68.9%. In that span Bob threw 5 touchdown passes and for the entire season his completion percentage was 58.0%, best in the AFC. Bob gives the Dolphins fine leadership on the field. He has tremendous poise and self-confidence and all the matching physical attributes. A knee injury kept Bob out of the final five games in 1969 but that season he enjoyed great days against the Bengals, passing for a team record 327-yards, and against the Jets, hitting on 18 of 27 attempts for 4 touchdowns.
