Bruins Card of the Day

Eddie Shack
Once called the "Clown Prince of Hockey," Eddie has the knack of getting hockey fans everywhere on his side, while this does not always hold true for Management. A rock 'em, sock 'em type of player, Eddie had his best year in the N.H.L. two seasons ago with Toronto.

Name that player!

Noted for bullet shot he made a successful switch last year from wing to defense. Only 2 backliners outscored him. Doug made the jump to Boston direct from Barrie cup champs.

Scrappy right winger, Leo's a big favorite in Hub even if his scoring has fallen off in recent years. Collected 24 goals five years ago, but lost the touch last two seasons. Tough man to fight off in the corners.

Tabbed as a red-hot prospect during his early days in the Toronto organization, Gerry Cheevers is far from being a "picture book goalie." But, he gets the job done, and done very well. He played for his present coach, Harry Sinden, at Oklahoma City.
