Royals Card of the Day

Vinnie Pasquantino
MLB DEBUT: 0-FOR-4. A hitless intro on June 28, 2022, was not indicative of the boost Pasquantino would give the Royals the rest of the way, but it was a celebratory night nonetheless. MLB Pipeline's third-ranked Kansas City prospect received a standing ovation from the Kauffman Stadium crowd ahead of his first at-bat.

Name that player!

Nine times Edward was recalled from Triple-A to provide short-term help to the 2021 Royals. In one stretch of 11 games, he launched five home runs.

Vinnie burst into prospect prominence with an explosive start to 2022 in Triple-A. Called up in late June, he finished with the third-highest OPS of Major League rookies (250+ ABs), won an AL Player of the Week award, and walked more than he struck out.

Whit, who virtually never takes a day off, is KC a two-time MLB All-Star Game selection who ignites the Royals with steady streams of base hits and stolen bags. He has led the American League in the former twice, and in the latter three times.
