Brewers Card of the Day

Gorman Thomas
Stormin' Gorman Thomas is one of baseball's most exciting performers. He is a premier home run slugger and a gifted defensive outfielder with excellent speed and a fine arm. Originally signed by the Brewers in 1969 when they were the Seattle Pilots, he spent six seasons in the minors and was even briefly traded away to Texas before making the majors. It was a spectacular season at Spokane in 1977 in which he hit .322 with 36 homers and 114 RBI that earned him a shot with the Brewers.

Name that player!

Oliver never belted more than seven longballs in a season of college or pro ball before slugging 21 blasts for Double-A Reading in 2023. An avid watch collector, Dunn saw his big-league time arrive the next spring when he made the Club out of camp. He employs a patient approach at the plate and produces notable sprint speeds and exit velos.

Named A.L. Starting 2nd baseman for the 1980 All-Star Game, Paul hit .353 from 7th inning on in 1980.

Corbin was the National League leader (300+ IP) with both his 2.62 ERA and 565 strikeouts between 2020 and 2022 and an NL Cy Young Award winner in the middle of the span. Last season he was the first Milwaukee Brewers pitcher ever to top his League in whiffs.
