Hailing from Nova Scotia, Parker is a crowd-pleasing type of player and showed flashes of potential power during his initial season in the big league. Was an outstanding junior with Marlboros and later sparkled with Pittsburgh, but confesses that the NHL is a tough league and has his hands full in keeping up with the game's top stars. A good skater, he has lots of speed, is also a good stickhandler.
Scrappy right winger, Leo's a big favorite in Hub even if his scoring has fallen off in recent years. Collected 24 goals five years ago, but lost the touch last two seasons. Tough man to fight off in the corners.
"Bucky" came to the Hawks at the start of this season for the $15,000 draft price. He was rated the Canadians' leading defense prospect but was unable to beat out more experienced men. With Chicago he is given a real chance to make the N.H.L. grade. Strong and aggressive, he played for the Montreal Royals of the Quebec Hockey League last season, his first pro year.
