Name that player!

Boy, can't he hit the ball! He's a big fellow, six feet, four inches tall and weighs 180 pounds. Hits and throws left-handed. Hit 16 home runs last year and batted for .326. Played five years in minor leagues before he got a real chance to break into the big league. Brooklyn bought him in 1926. Broke in with a wallop. Hit .319 and he's been slugging the ball ever since. Second best batter in the National League in 1930 and made 35 home runs. Born in Buffalo, N. Y., June 26, 1903.

Pitcher Shota Imanaga was one of the shrewdest free agent signings in the 2024 offseason. He busted out of the gates with a 5-0 record and 0.83 ERA in his first nine starts and anchored a rotation that also included budding workhorse Javier Assad. That strong pitching, along with one of the most prolific offenses in the NL, had the Cubs in the hunt for their first Postseason berth since 2020.

Moe signed a bonus contract with the Cubs just one day after his twenty-first birthday. Wanted by every Major League Club, he brought a fine, well-earned reputation to Chicago last season and didn't disappoint anyone! While in Trinity College, Moe won 17 games in two seasons. He can fire the ball with tremendous speed and registered 111 strikeouts in 70 innings of collegiate baseball. In the summers of 1954 and 1955, Moe played for Truro in the Nova Scotia League.
