Joining the Cubs represented a homecoming of sorts for Ben, who grew up in Illinois. The versatile veteran was one of the keys to Chicago's blistering start in 2016, as he swatted .317 in his first 35 games.
One of the game's top sluggers, Ron has shattered almost all of Chicago's batting records for a third baseman. His 30 homers and 114 RBIs established an all-time Cub mark. Ron is truly one of the game's great ones and will be for many years to come.
Dee had a good season with the Cubs in 1952. He was in 145 games, and he hit an even .300. He included 21 doubles, 9 triples and 10 home runs among his blows. Last year was his first full season in the majors, although he got in 49 games with Chicago at the beginning of 1951. Finished the season with Los Angeles. Began in 1946. Spent some years in Dodger chain.
