A .316 career hitter and winner of the 1928 batting crown (.379). Goslin couldn't wait for spring to roll around so he could swing the stick. "Oh, did I ever love to get up there and hit," he said. "And most of all I truly loved those fastballs. They were right down my alley. Zip they'd come in, and whack - right back out they'd go."
Herb took over the Senators' second base assignment last year and did a bang up job. After hitting .302 at Denver in 1955, he came to Washington and saw part time duty in 1956.
Brant Alyea: The slugging youngster has all the credentials for the majors. In 1962, Brant belted 32 HR's and drove in 116 runs. Pete Craig: Pete is a fine looking young prospect. He was a 14 game winner for two successive seasons in the minors.
