Name that player!

A schoolboy sensation in Cincinnati, Ed batted .460 as a senior in high school. The shortstop's batting average doesn't indicate his true value to the Senators. A great man with a glove, Ed topped the Washington club in games played last season.

Switched from the White Sox to the Senators after 10 games in 1950. On the mound 22 times for the Nats. Won 9, lost 10. Belonged at one time to the Indians. While with the Baltimore Orioles in 1947, Bob was voted the outstanding southpaw of the International League. Bothered by wildness with Orioles in 1948. In 1949, with White Sox, had a record of 10-6. In service 3 years.

The 26-year-old first baseman joined the Senators in the deal that brought Frank Howard from L. A. to Washington. In the minors Dick earned quite a reputation for himself. He was the California League's home run champion and RBI leader in 1961. Dick twice led his circuit in putouts while in the Dodger farm chain.

Walt began in 1939 with Charlotte of the Piedmont League, and after appearing in 2 games for them, he went to Washington. He remained, except for three years in service, until traded to the Red Sox in June, 1949.
