Name that player!

"The Arm" of the Brooklyn outfield. Carl's bullet like throws to the infield put fear and trembling into base-runners. Carl is also a slugger at the plate. He hit .305 in 153 games in 1950. Drove in 106 runs. Had 30 doubles, 6 triples, 18 homers. Began in baseball in 1940. Alternated between outfield and mound first 2 years. After discharge from service, joined the Dodgers in 1946.

Last season Sandy upped his batting average 17 points over his 1956 mark. At his best when there are men on base, Sandy always presents the threat of breaking up the ball game with his timely hits.

Ben was a handy man on the Dodgers' mound staff in '52, pitching in more than a quarter of their games. The big fastball hurler has been in pro ball since 1940. In '47 he led the Southern Association in Strikeouts while pitching for Nashville. Jake Wade, who hurled for 6 American League teams is Ben's older brother. The Dodgers bought Ben from Montreal in '52.
