Name that player!

Last season Sandy upped his batting average 17 points over his 1956 mark. At his best when there are men on base, Sandy always presents the threat of breaking up the ball game with his timely hits.

In 1943 at Los Angeles, Andy led the Pacific Coast League in batting with .356 and was brought up to the Cubs at the end of the season. He was a Cub regular until the middle of the 1951 season when he was traded to the Dodgers. A powerful slugger, Andy was second in the League in homers in 1950 with 36 and was tied for 5th in 1951. In 1950 he hit 3 home runs in 1 game. He made the Major League All-Star Team in 1945.

Billy is one of the characters in baseball. He's a comic, he's sure of himself, he's got a lot of promise, and pitches nearly as good a game as he talks. From what the experts say about him, it won't be long before the youngster pitches a better game than he talks, because he's got what it takes. He's a local boy making good. Billy appeared in 32 games for the Dodgers in 1953, winning 14 and losing 8. He was 13 and 8 the preceding year.
