Name that player!

The flashy fielding shortstop was one of Boston's surprise devekopments last season. Second to none in fielding, Rico makes all the plays required of a major league shortstop. Although he still must prove he can hit big league pitching consistently, Rico showed good power at the plate and is full of determination. The Boston organization is very high on this rapidly improving youngster.

No stranger to batting championships, Carl was the Carolina League's hitting king with an astounding .377 mark. That year he also led the circuit in hits, doubles and putouts. In 1960 he failed to win the American Association batting title by just one point.

The "Little Professor," with his mighty throwing arm, is one of the game's best fielders. He can hit, too. Packed 34 doubles into his 1949 average (307). Batted in 60 runs. Dom joined organized baseball in 1937 with San Francisco. There 3 seasons. With Red Sox ever since, except for 3 years with Uncle Sam. Has played in 3 all-star games.

The Red Sox brought him up after he was voted the Most Valuable Player in the American Association in 1941. He led the American League in Hits in '46 and 47 and was the shortstop on the Major League All-Star Team in '42 and '46. During the War he served as a Navy Lieutenant.
