After making headlines with an Astros single-game record eight RBI on 9/20/07, Towles saw increased playing time in 2008 and came through with three RBI in a 5-1 win over Florida on 4/13.

Before having his hand broken by a pitch in September, Jeff had played in 304 straight games - the Major Leagues' longest streak behind that of Cal Ripken, Jr.
