Name that player!

This one-of-a-kind superstar is the epitome of a pure hitter, yet he continues to work hard at improving his craft. Jose's dedication paid off with a power explosion in 2016 to go along with another lofty batting average. As Houston's first 20/20 player since Carlos Beltran in 2004, he was named the AL Player of the Month after batting .420 with a .492 on-base percentage in June.

Yuli slowed down near the end of the season after suffering a hand injury. In August, he exhibited his 2019 form, hitting .305 with four homers and a .558 slugging percentage, with more than half of his 29 hits going for extra bases. Yuli accepts the challenges, saying he came to MLB from Cuba precisely for that, not the money.

Cesar has the potential to be a super-star. Regarded as a "complete" ballplayer, he led Carolina League with 32 Doubles, 1969 while he stole 24 bases. Also led Fla. Instr. Loop in Doubles, 1969.

John Bateman
John was signed as a free agent in 1962. The following season he led the Houston club in Home Runs, Runs Batted In, and Triples. A fine young prospect, John is rapidly developing as a top-flight receiver. John feels that he's ready to assume all the catching duties for Houston in 1966.
