Rangers Card of the Day

Josh Jung
Josh was viewed as an average-over-power hitter when he was drafted in the first round of the 2019 MLB Draft. In 2023, he was second on the Club with eight HRS through Texas' first 33 games. Overall, he was hitting 21% over the AL average (OPS+). That was a dramatic rebound from 2022. Through 235 MLB PAs, he homered at a rate of 37 per 162 games.

Name that player!

In his 2022 Rangers debut, Corey returned to the MLB All-Star Game for the first time in five years on his way to leading the team in homers and walks (58). He proved to be immune to late-game matchups, going deep once every 14.3 at-bats against lefties.

The Rangers didn't get a "full Nelson" in 2010, as their mighty right fielder endured three stints on the DL. Nonetheless, he was a fearsome force when healthy -the fifth player in history with at least 30 doubles, 20 homers and 75 RBI while playing no more than 108 games in a season.

Marcus was the lone player in either circuit to record at least 25 homers, 25 steals and 100 runs in 2022. While providing a spark out of the leadoff spot in his first season with the Rangers, he also amassed 1.9 Defensive WAR - seventh-most in the AL.
