Evan celebrated his 21st birthday in 2023 with a promotion to Triple-A Round Rock. He had four hits in his first six at-bats. He was the No. 8 prospect in midseason (MLB Pipeline).

Dick's 8th-inning Single provided winning run as Rangers defeated White Sox. 3-2, on June 24th, last year. The next night his 3 RBI's helped defeat Chisox once again.

In an era of triple-digit heaters and science-bending spin rates, Dane has an old-school style, sequencing and locating his way to weak contact. "He rolls through innings pretty quickly," Rangers catcher Mitch Garver observes. "He's not out there to throw 100 pitches in five innings." In 2023, Dunning didn't allow an earned run until his seventh outing.
