Rangers Card of the Day

Wyatt Langford
Wyatt's wild ride in 2023 began at the U. of Florida, where he capped a three-year career by slugging .784, and ended at Triple-A Round Rock, where he reached base in all seven games. In between, he reeled off seven straight multi-hit efforts at Double-A.

Name that player!

Jeft has only three full seasons of pro ball behind him but could be en route to stardom. He has power to compare with Frank Howard and Harmon Killebrew as demonstrated by his first major league Homer. Jeff hit it at Detroit, 8-2-71. Summoned as a pinch-hitter, he blasted 3-run Homer into upper deck of right-center stands.

The lone Rangers player to swipe 10+ bags in each of the past four seasons, Leody has established himself as one of the finest defensive center fielders in the game. The 2024 campaign marked his third in a row inside the top 15% in Outs Above Average. Taveras also normed 98.8 mph on his competitive throws - 9.8 mph better than the positional average.

After batting .403 and hitting safely in 14 of his first 16 games in 2019, Andrus finished April with the most knocks (39) and the No. 2 AVG (.361) in the AL. He had multiple hits in half of his 28 contests.

Back to the Front! Rangers card back du jour...

Evan Carter
Evan needed fewer than 250 games on the farms in racing from high school ranks all the way to The Show, putting up gaudy numbers every step of the way. The 2022 Rangers Minor League Player of the Year earned a call-up the following September - and kept on raking. Carter went 16-for-53 (.302, 1.085 OPS) over his first 20 MLB tilts.
