Diamondbacks Card of the Day

Randy Johnson
Randy, after winning the NL Cy Young Award in 1999, carried his momentum into 2000 with perhaps the best month ever by a pitcher: a 6-0 record with a 0.91 ERA and 64 strikeouts in April. Before being named to his seventh All-Star Game, he won 14 games and struck out 198 batters. At one point, he had pitched at least six innings in 40 straight starts.

Varsho hopped over Triple-A to debut for the Diamondbacks on July 30, 2020. The rare catcher with the wheels to play center field, Daulton found his offensive stride late in the year, hitting three homers and posting an .822 OPS in his final 19 games.

Corbin carried over the solid all-around play he showed after his promotion in 2022 into 2023. In his first 31 games, he hit .320 with five homers and 10 steals. The former first- round pick in the 2019 MLB Draft is rated the fastest player in MLB.
