Name that player!

Randy's tenure with the Diamondbacks was epic. In his first six seasons, from ages 35-to-40, he won four-straight NL Cy Young Awards, three ERA titles, and led the loop in Ks five times. He also was a World Series Co-MVP.

Zac established himself as one of the best pitchers early in 2023. He went 28-straight innings without allowing a run. He was also among the MLB strikeout leaders. In April, Zac had three games of double-digit strikeouts while walking no more than one batter. Through May 5, his ERA since the 2022 MLB All-Star Game of 1.83 was the sixth-lowest.

While winning six straight decisions early in 2023, Zac became the third starter since 1994 to post scoreless streaks of 25+ innings in consecutive seasons. He started for the NL in the MLB All-Star Game.

Randy Johnson
Randy, after winning the NL Cy Young Award in 1999, carried his momentum into 2000 with perhaps the best month ever by a pitcher: a 6-0 record with a 0.91 ERA and 64 strikeouts in April. Before being named to his seventh All-Star Game, he won 14 games and struck out 198 batters. At one point, he had pitched at least six innings in 40 straight starts.
