The last member of the 1993 NL Champion Phillies, Curt was dealt to Arizona on July 26 for four players. The right-hander, who attended high school in Phoenix, won his Arizona debut on July 28 at Florida, then six-hit the Braves his next time out on August 2. Schilling posted his 100th career Win and 14th career shutout on May 6 in Atlanta.
Randy's tenure with the Diamondbacks was epic. In his first six seasons, from ages 35-to-40, he won four-straight NL Cy Young Awards, three ERA titles, and led the loop in Ks five times. He also was a World Series Co-MVP.
Luis had a 30-game hitting streak snapped on May 19, 1999. He tied Eric Davis, Nomar Garciaparra and Sandy Alomar, Jr. for the longest streak of the decade.
