In 2020, a pair of college teammates were selected with the top two picks for the fourth time in WNBA history. After Oregon's Sabrina Ionescu went No. 1 overall to New York, Sabally headed to Dallas as the second selection. The forward averaged 16.2 points and 6.9 rebounds during her final season with the Ducks.

In 2021, Kuier became the sixth international prospect (Finland) without NCAA experience to be selected in the top five of the WNBA draft. "She's going to be a beast," said Dallas forward Isabelle Harrison, who was Kuier's teammate in Italy. "I can't wait for the States to see somebody with this talent."

Making sure the glass is always clean, Johnson uses her frame (6-foot-3, 170 pounds) to battle with opponents in the paint for caroms. The standout Dallas forward regularly ranks near the top of the charts in rebounds and possesses the skills to rack up double-digit boards every night.
