Sheryl, whose Texas Tech jersey #22 was retired in '94, holds the record for points scored (47) in a NCAA championship game. One of the brightest stars of the WNBA, she is spending her inagmural season with the Comets on the injured reserve list - her first child, Jordan Eric Jackson was born on June 25, 1997.



Cooper captured her second consecutive league MVP Award this past season and was the only unanimous selection on the All-WNBA First Team. The WNBA's scoring champ the last two seasons, Cooper also topped the league in three-point field goals made and ranked in the league's top 10 in assists, free throw and three-point field goal percentage.



Recorded her first WNBA double-double with a 12-point, 11-rebound outing against Phoenix on June 2, 2001. Finished in a three-way tie for second place in the 1999 WNBA Rookie of the Year voting. Originally drafted in the third round with the 29th overall pick of 1999 WNBA Draft by the Detroit Shock. A two-time collegiate All-American and four-time All-SEC choice at Alabama. Was named the SEC Tournament MVP after leading 'bama to the championship game her freshman year.
