Drafted in first round by Cleveland in 1987, Seventh pick overall... Obtained in midseason deal with Cleveland in 1988... Won NBA most improved player, 1989... Played in Oakland A's minor league system.



Heating up faster than a summer day in the desert, Booker scored 24 points in the first quarter of a win vs. New Orleans on April 1, 2024. He became the second player (Stephen Curry) to net at least that many points in an opening frame four times in a career. He finished with 52, his league-high third 50-spot of the season.



Despite a predictably bad 16-66 first season, the Suns have built a winning tradition since joining the NBA in 1968. In their 24-year history, the Suns have made 14 postseason appearances and have recorded eight seasons with 50 or more victories. In 1976, Phoenix made its only NBA Finals appearance, against the Celtics. DID YOU KNOW? The Suns are the only team ever to have four players (Don Buse, Alvan Adams, Walter Davis and Paul Westphal) hand out 300 or more assists - and the Suns have done it twice (1978-79 and 1979-80). Phoenix broke the club record with 14 consecutive wins in December 1992, the third-best month in NBA history. SCORECARD. The Suns scored an NBA-record 107 points in the first half of a November 10, 1990, game with the Nuggets, who had set the previous high (90) just three days earlier.

Standing strong for the Suns in 2019-20, Ayton averaged 18.2 points and 11.5 rebounds. The rising star became just the third active player to average at least 15 points and 10 boards in each of his first two seasons. The stout center put his name alongside Blake Griffin and Karl-Anthony Towns.
