Name that player!

Missed portion of season with lower back strain...Obtained with Armon Gilliam from Hornets in 1/3/91 trade for Mike Gminski...Led Charlotte in field goal percentage in club's first year...Named Academic All-Big Eight at Nebraska.

In his first four through the NBA, many teams will get their first look at the offensive arsenal that Stackhouse uses. A power dunker with serious rise, Stackhouse threw down 19.2 points per game his sophomore year at the University of North Carolina.

Word association... Iverson. Points? Crossover? Fast? Explosive? Yes, all of those things, but add this one: Courage. By the end of what was another spectacular year for the young guard, Allen still was operating at a high level in the NBA Playoffs despite a swollen shooting elbow, torn rotator cuff, broken big toe and chip fracture of the right ankle. "That kid is incredible," said team physician Dr. Jack McPhilemy, who called Iverson's threshold for pain the highest he's ever seen.

Back to the Front! 76ers card back du jour...

Darryl Dawkins
One of two players to join the NBA out of high school in 1975, Darryl became a favorite of the fans for both his shot blocking and his dunks. Still growing at the age of 20, he's working with 76ers' coaches on improving his defense and his court savvy. Darryl is strong off the boards.
