The Bulls added to their offensive weaponry in the 2021 offseason when they acquired DeMar DeRozan and Lonzo Ball. They could confidently add those scorers knowing that Williams could be their ace on the other end. The secure stopper can guard one through five and slow down All-Stars.
The only player remaining from the original 18 selected when Chicago was awarded a franchise in 1966, Jerry provides scoring punch in the backcourt. Jerry's hustle, desire, shooting and tenacious defense are among the Bulls' biggest assets. After earning All-State honors in high school, he was an All-American at Evansville in their unbeaten 1964-65 season.
Shaler indicated in December, 1968 what he could do against top competition by scoring 23 points in one game for the 76ers. The 8th leading collegiate scorer nationally in 1967-68, he was the third highest scorer in Utah State history with 1.284 points in his career. Shaler played only two years at Utah State averaging 23.8 points per game as a junior and 26.5 as a senior with 42 vs. Brigham Young.
