Name that player!

A high school All-American at the same school that produced Wilt Chamberlain, Walt attended UCLA where he led the Bruins to two national titles. Primarily a shooter, Walt has become one of the NBA's best playmakers and has led the Hawks in assists the past two seasons. Walt is a fine penetrator, a good ballhandler.

One of the most thrilling duels in pro basketball is the Slater Martin-Bob Cousy battle. Slater covers Cooz like a glove, keeping his point production to a minimum. A fast moving, dazzling dribbler, Slater sets up play patterns with great savy. Last year, he coached the Hawks for 5 games and won 4.

An Intimidating player on the court, Tom signed with Hawks as free agent, 7-8-90.
