Name that player!

The "Big O" was the overwhelming selection as the NBA's Rookie of the Year for 1960-61. He was even more brilliant in his first year with the Royals than he had been as a three-time college Player of the Year and All-American with the University of Cincinnati. Quickly establishing himself as one of the gate attractions of the NBA, Oscar became the first rookie guard to score more than 2,000 points. He finished fourth in scoring with 2,165 points and was the leader in assists with 690.

Voted most valuable player to perform in New York's famed Madison Square Garden during his last two collegiate years...named to All-Metropolitan NY All-Star team as well as All-American. One of aces which helped spark Royals to two consecutive National League tities in 1945-46 and 1946-47. Member of team making its debut in the BAA. One of best defensive players developed.

Captained City College team in 1942 and named to All-Madison Square and All-Metropolitan teams in 1942-43. Starred for Norfolk Naval Training Station five which was voted the outstanding service team in country in 1944. Member of Royals' National League championship teams of 1945-46 and 1946-47.
