If John Stockton could do it, Kidd must reason, then why can't he? Kidd is still going strong and is contemplating playing into his 40s and emulating Stockton, who retired at 41. The Dallas offensive maestro began the 2010-11 season second in NBA career assists, 4,883 behind Stockton.

When Dirk was growing up in Germany watching the Chicago Bulls on television, he fell in love with the style of game played by Scottie Pippen. Amazingly, Nowitzki now can do many of those same things on the court - but at 7-feet tall. “Dirk is such a freak," Grizzlies assistant coach Lionel Hollins says of the four-time NBA All-Star. "This guy is 7-foot and plays like a guard."

Bill and his teammates Chris Mullin and Walter Berry compiled a 31-4 record at St. Johns University making it to the '85 NCAA semifinals. Bill played for his home country, Canada, in the 1984 Olympics. Very active in the community, Bill is involved with the NBA's "Don't Foul Out" drug program. Bill is so dedicated to giving something back that in 1987 he won the NBA/American Express Man Of The Year award for his community participation.

Back to the Front! Mavericks card back du jour...

Jason Terry
Jason, who held off an early challenge from touted rookie Devin Harris to start at the point for the Mavericks last season, went on to an excellent - if unusual, for him - year. Cast as a primary scorer his years in Atlanta, Terry more often deferred to potent teammates in Dallas. While his scoring average dipped, his FG% soared with his better shot selection. His .501 mark was second-best among all NBA point guards and a career high by a whopping .065.
