Roger, along with Mel Daniels, became a 10,000-Point player in career ABA regular season and playoff competition last season. Both achieved the coveted plateau in the same game, against Virginia, 11-9-72. Roger has great ability to go one-on-one against almost anyone.
One of the 11 original members of the ABA, the Pacers were among the four ABA teams that joined the NBA in 1976. Indiana dominated the ABA, appearing in the ABA Championship Series five of the league's nine years and winning three titles. In the NBA, the Pacers have qualified for the postseason five times. DID YOU KNOW? The Pacers have retired only three uniform numbers: 30 (George McGinnis), 34 (Mel Daniels) and 35 (Roger Brown). The Pacers were the ABA's all-time leader in postseason victories with a nine-year playoff record of 69-50. SCORECARD. In the highest-scoring overtime ever, the Pacers came out on top, outscoring the Warriors 23-16 in the extra period to win 127-120 on March 31, 1991.
Averaged 6.6 ppg in 51 games in 1992... Named Metro Conference Player of the Year as a Florida State senior in 1989... Finished college career as FSU's third-leading scorer (1,574 points)... Hit 10 three-pointers in a game against LaSalle en route to career-high 36 points his senior year... Shot 115-for-262 (.439) from three-point range that season.
