Name that player!

An original Timberwolve - the only one still in Minnesota - Doug assumed the club's all-time scoring leadership on March 8, passing Tony Campbell. He grabbed a career-high 11 rebounds on January 16.

Selected by the Minnesota Timberwolves in the 1989 Expansion Draft... Began his professional career with the Bullets and was the back-up center behind Hall-of-Famer Wes Unseld... Was a three-time NAIA all-American... Earned college degree in Business.

I felt so bad when I saw Marbury get hurt earlier in the 1996-97 season. This kid is going to be sensational. Now that he is back in the fold, the Timberwolves are going nowhere but up. Along with tag-team partner Kevin Garnett, the Timberwolves have two of the most exciting and athletic young stars in the entire NBA. Did you know? Marbury teamed with Kevin Gameyt on the 1995 USA Junior Select Team that played in the Basketball Hall of Fame Hoop Summit.

William Avery
Minnesota's second pick and the 14th selection overall in the 1999 NBA Draft, point guard William Avery hopes to utilize his quickness and good outside shot at the next level. Spent two seasons under the tutelage of Mike Krzyzewski at Duke. As a freshman, Avery came off the bench in 35 games and scored in double figures 15 times. As a sophomore, he was named Honorable Mention All-America and Second Team All-Atlantic Coast Conference. William was third on the team in scoring, led the team in assists and was second in steals (57). He made a schoolrecord eight three-pointers against Florida on December 9.
