Name that player!

One of three ex-Colorado stars on the team, Bob is starting his fourth season with Denver. Bob is considered to be the best pulling guard in the league. He mows down would-be tackles and allows his backs to go for long gains. Filled with desire and spirit, he helps keep the offense rolling. Big Bob is looking forward to another year of blasting holes through the defense.

Don't let Estime's smile fool you he plays the game with a hard-nosed mentality. "I'm a ferocious runner. I run like I have bills to pay," the Notre Dame product said on Up and Adams. "I pride myself in being able to do it all. I can be a physical back and make you miss, go over you or be a home-run hitter."

Acquired from Houston in 1962, Ray is fast developing into one of the finest defensive ends around. The big man is constantly putting pressure on opposing quarterbacks with his "red-dogging." He believes the only real way to break up a pass play is to smother the passer before he can throw the ball. Big Ray is looking forward to another steady diet of signal-callers this year.

Back to the Front! Broncos card back du jour...

Rod Bernstine
Denver finally got a big running back when it signed Rod as a free agent in 1993. San Diego converted him from tight end to running back, and his size and speed gave defenses fits. Bernstine has averaged almost five yards per carry in his career.
