Chargers Card of the Day

Asante Samuel, Jr.
Samuel's father, a four-time Pro Bowl defender, recorded his first career interception in just his third game. One-upping his old man, the Chargers' second-round pick snagged his first pick in his second game, a Week 2 clash against the Cowboys in 2021, and returned it for 26 yards.

Name that player!

He's big, strong and perfect for the tight end position. Willie is a fine blocker & excellent receiver. Led the Chargers with 57 receptions in 1967.

A change of scenery did Rice well as he turned out two solid seasons at USC after leaving Colorado. He finished with 791 yards and 12 touchdowns on 45 receptions in 2023, earning All-Pac 12 Second Team honors. It was a sign the young wideout was ready to follow in the footsteps of his legendary father.

There has never been a Chargers player like him. Seriously, no player in franchise history accomplished what the defensive end did in 2021 - double-digit sacks in four of his first six NFL seasons. Bosa did it by roaring to 10.5 quarterback takedowns on the way to his fourth Pro Bowl selection.
