Name that player!

As the Cards' leading pass receiver for the past three campaigns, Don starts his fifth year with the Cards. At Northwestern he set pass receiving records by catching 13 in one game and 378 yards gained in one season. All-America selection. Attended Schurz High in Chicago. With the Cardinals he holds record for most passes caught (181 in 4 years) and most passes caught in one game (10 against the Redskins in 1953).

Len joined Chicago in '54 via a trade with the Rams. It was a happy swap for the Cards because Len is now one of the most effective offensive tackles in the league. Those gaping holes in the line are no accident. More than likely, Len's wedging the forward wall open with powerful blocks to give Card backs a wide avenue for ground gaining. In the off-season he sells Insurance and his opponents could use some when they tangle with Big Len.

"Bill" gained nation-wide recognition as a prep star and although every college in the country wanted him, he chose Northwestern, a school near home. Entered the Navy in 1942 and upon discharge, joined the Washington Redskins... but Bill is happiest when he is playing for the Cardinals, which was proved by his marvelous record last season. He has B.S. degree in Physical Education and English, married and has 2 sons.
