Cardinals Card of the Day

Kyler Murray
Murray picked up right where he left off when he returned in the second half of 2023, when he instantly made Arizona competitive. His coach believes there's more where that came from. "His best football is ahead of them, which is, is interesting to say, because he's playing at such a high level," Jonathan Gannon said.

Name that player!

Known as one of the great leapers among NFL receivers, Larry executed his greatest jump - 628 feet in the summer of 2007. Fortunately, he was attached to a bungee cord when he leapt off the Sky Tower in Auckland, New Zealand. With 100-catch/1,400-yard/10-TD performances in two of the last three seasons, he's vaulted into the top echelon of his position.

Ernie won his spot in '61 training camp but did not play most of the season. A sore ankle benched him most of '62. He's a top pass protector and very fast.

Fast as a streak of lightning, Ollie is one of the most exciting players in the game. He has no equal as an open field runner and in '55 he led the N.F.L. in Punt Returns. Before he joined the Cards, Ollie was an Olympic track star, and ran 100 yards in 9.5 seconds, consistently.

Back to the Front! Cardinals card back du jour...

Johnny Olszewski
Third season in pro league. Was No. 1 right halfback last year with Cardinals but may be switched to fullback because of his speed. At U. of Calif. he set a Pacific Coast Conference record by carrying the ball 416 times for a net gain of 2,504 yards. In 1952 he was selected All-Conference, All-Coast, and All-America. Was Cards' first draft choice in 1953.
