Tampa Bay made a plan for 2020, and the acquisition of Brady was the first step. "Going after Tom was our No. 1 priority." general manager Tom Licht said. "Because we knew he'd be a perfect fit for what we're trying to do here. ...He's going to demand the best out of himself, his teammates and anybody that's around him."
Vea controls the line of scrimmage, taking up double teams, plugging gaps and creating lanes for linebackers Lavonte David and Devin White to fly through and stuff ball-carriers. "His presence on the defensive front has played a major role in our ability to consistently rank among the league leaders in rush defense," said Buccaneers GM Jason Licht.
Tom Brady's main man for his three-year run in Tampa, Evans pulled down 32 regular-season TD catches as the surefire Hall of Famer closed out his career. That put the Bucs star fifth on Brady's list of all-time touchdown targets, behind only Rob Gronkowski (90), Randy Moss (39), Julian Edelman (36) and Wes Welker (34).
