Name that player!

Baby-faced center with good burst of speed. Product of Hawks' farm system, he made the jump to the big club from juniors. Fred is one of seven brothers, all of them starry-eyed about hockey careers.

Hawks are in 37th year as NHL entry, and it's doubtful they ever fielded a stronger, bigger team than current one. Credit for this must go to Jim Norris, owner, recently named to Hall of Fame; to Tommy Ivan, general manager, and to Coach Rudy Pilous, story-teller supreme.

Long-jawed veteran of eleven NHL seasons, Tex was born in South Wales, grew up in Western Canada. Drafted by Hawks from Rangers, he's one of fastest skating defensemen in league. Got more all-star votes last year than ever.

Back to the Front! Black Hawks card back du jour...

Bobby Hull
Bobby rates as toughest man to step on solo rush in NHL. Golden Boy of Hawks looks like Mickey Mantle on ice. Won scoring title twice in last three years, and his 50 goals last mark shared by M. Richard and Bernie Geoffrion.
