Jean Guy Talbot
Starting his 12th year with Canadiens, Jean Guy was possibly overshadowed on defence by the great Doug Harvey, but since Doug left Jean Guy has proven he is a star in his own right. An effective penalty killer, Jean Guy is often used as a forward to "beef up" the offense.

Though still not as productive as the Game's brightest stars, Henri Richard takes a back seat to no player when it comes to colourful, fascinating hockey skill. Henri has inherited enough of the famous family traits to be considered one of the League's top centres and certainly one of the most mature "thinking players" in hockey today.

Aggressive left winger, John earned promotion to Canadiens after a 38-goal season with Cleveland. Montreal had inside track because of working agreement with the Barons. John was a leading candidate for rookie honors when he hurt thumb.

Who is it?


John is a great defensive player, probably the finest sweep checker in hockey today, and one of the best the NHL has ever seen. He's used mostly in penalty-killing roles and has proven invaluable to the club in that capacity. He's determined to stay in the NHL and can be counted on to give his best. Has worked in the lumber business and in an advertising agency.

Petry tied for the team lead in game-winning goals by scoring three for Montreal in 2019-20, including a pair in overtime. Anaheim (Feb. 6) and Carolina (Feb. 29) were the victims of his overtime tallies.
