In 1961-62, the year Doug Harvey went to New York, Guy came out of the shadows to make NHL all-star team. Talbot can play up front and also serve effectively as penalty-killer.

After being shuffled between Buffalo and Montreal for several seasons, he is now playing his 4th straight year for Canadiens.

Who is it?


For the first time since 54-55 Doug Harvey last season relinquished his hold on the James Norris Trophy and also, for the first time since the '51-52 season failed to catch a berth on the First All Star team. By Harvey standards then '58-59 was a poor year and in reality Doug's play did suffer somewhat in comparison to recent seasons.

Began his N.H.L. career with Red Wings. Sold to Canadiens in 1945, he has been with them since.
