Name that player!

It's almost ciche to state that goaltending wins championships in the NHL, but that fact was never more clear than in last season's playoffs. The Devils rode the play of their rookie netminder all the way to Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals. Martin Brodeur was a key to the Devils' success all season. He finished Second in GAA, fourth in save percentage (.915), was named the goaltender for the '93-94 NHL/Upper Deck All-Rookie Team and received the Calder Memorial Trophy for his efforts last season.

Roger the Dodger" is one of the smallest goalies in the NHL, but he's had an outstanding career. A Bracebridge, Ontario former rookie-of-the-year in both the AHL and NHL, Roger also was voted the Conn Smythe Trophy as the MVP during the 1966 Stanley Cup Playoffs.

A native of Syracuse, N.Y., who grew up rooting for the Sabres, Tuch was the most established player Buffalo received when it dealt former captain Jack Eichel to Vegas on Nov. 4, 2021, along with former first-round pick Peyton Krebs. In his first game with Buffalo, Tuch set up a second-period goal in a battle with the visiting New Jersey Devils.

Back to the Front! Sabres card back du jour...

Gil Perreault
When Gil suffered a broken leg last season, the Sabres hopes for a playoff berth were severely hampered. The former rookie of the year and number one overall selection in the 1970 Amateur Draft is one of the flashiest performers in the NHL. Gilles has been in the superstar category since his very first game in the NHL. He is a former winner of Lady Byng Trophy.
