A fifth round choice of the Scouts in last summer's Expansion Draft, Gary scored 38 goals last season for Salt Lake City in the Western Hockey League. He's a good checker and very accurate around the net.

He played briefly for the St. Louis Blues in the past, but spent most of his time on New York Rangers-sponsored.clubs. He once shared the most valuable player award in the Central League. Peter has a "standup" style of goaltending.
