Patrik led the Devis with 72 points (35 G, 37 A) during 1999-2000, his second full NHL season. On Dec. 18, 1999. Elias scored two goals in their 5-4 win over Washington, including the third-period game-winner.
Palmieri led the OHL's Erie Otters with 24 goals and was third on the squad with 45 points in his second year of juniors in 2006-07. He was traded to Belleville during the 08-09 season, and led the Bulls in playoff goal scoring with 14 in 17 games.
A finesse defenseman who has been compared to Paul Coffey by some scouts, Scott Niedermayer was the third player chosen overall and the first by New Jersey in 1991. Niedermayer was second among Kamloops defensemen in scoring last season and was named to the WHL West first All-Star team and selected as 1991 Canadian Major Junior Scholastic Player of the Year. After starting the 1991-92 season with the Devils, he was returned to Kamloops in November.
