Wild Card of the Day
Pierre-Marc Bouchard
Pound for pound, Pierre-Marc was the best scorer in the QMJHL in 2001-02. In fact, the 165-pounder scored nearly a point per pound, amassing 46 goals and 94 assists for a 140 total. On October 11, 2002, at age 18, Minnesota's No. 1 pick debuted in the NHL. Bouchard admitted that adjusting to a professional lifestyle was difficult, "but everybody has to go through it. I'm going through it at 18." A potent mix of speed, vision and passing skill, Pierre-Marc also fires accurate wristers and slapshots.
