Senga rode out some early turbulence on April 2, 2023, to finish with an exceptional - and victorious - Mets debut. Leading his team to a 5-1 triumph at Miami, Kodai allowed just one run on three hits over 5 1/3 innings. He struck out eight and walked three, retiring 15 of the last 17 men he faced.



Always a long-ball threat, Jim has been in organized baseball since 1950. Four times in the minors, Jim topped the .300 mark. His best performance was at Fresno in 1951 when he batted .333.



An all-around athlete, Calvin chose baseball as a career. He broke into the majors with a beautifully pitched 5-1 victory over St. Louis in April, 1962. That same year in July, Calvin thrilled the fans with a splendid one-hit shutout over Cincinnati. The club feels that Calvin will be one of their top pitchers in '66.
