He finished 3rd in steals with 190, 3rd in blocked shots with 204, 6th in assists with 5.2 per game, 7th in rebounds with 10.7 per game & 9th in 2-point field goal accuracy with 51.5%.
Christian Laettner has done a lot of smiling in his young basketball career. After being a part of two NCAA Championships with Duke and winning a gold medal in Spain, he moved on to become one of the NBA's top rookies in 1992-93. Ranked among the top five rookies in both scoring (17.8 per game) and rebounding (8.2 per outing) at mid-season, Laettner has a future that looks just as bright as his past.
