Defense is Payton's battleground. Intense and menacing, the '95-96 NBA Defensive Player of the Year and steals leader (2.9/G) picked an opponent's pocket at least once in a remarkable 79 of 81 games, with five or more steals in ten of them.
A part-time performer as a rookie, Stu became starter in 1969-70 and set personal scoring high in 1970-71. He's one of NBA's top guards and scores consistently against each NBA opponent.
Wembanyama is an enigma, even for the NBA. Spurs teammate Devin Vassell agrees. "He's done a couple of wild things, from dunks, to put backs, to step-back 3s," he said. "Pretty much every day when you watch something, everybody's looking around kind of confused because you've never seen anything like that before."
