Bill has tremendous potential and is working hard to make it pay off in the pro ranks. He toiled all summer and developed an unstoppable outside shot that means trouble for Piston opponents. At Hofstra Bill scored a total of 2,045 points in 3 seasons and led his team into the N.I.T.

Charles Barkley “Blood, Sweat and Talent". Roger Clemens. Mark Messier. Ronnie Lott. Charles Barkley. What things do these athletes have in common? Every one of them is among the elite players of their sport. But more than that, they all strive to make those around them the best they can be. That built-in desire, a tireless determination and tremendous talent make them different from your run-of-the-mill superstar. Playing the game to the hilt is a responsibility Charles Barkley lives for and expects from his teammates. And just as with the other players, his desire becomes the team's desire, and winning becomes contagious. His numbers are staggering. He is a five-time NBA All-Star, four-time All-NBA First Team selection and a three-time recipient of the Schick statistical Player-of-the-Year Award. Barkley has been the Sixers' leading scorer for the last five seasons and top rebounder for the last six. The former "Round Mound" is now a muscular, chipped, nicked and bruised warrior that nightly goes out and gives all he has. The former NBA rebounding leader just needs a Championship Ring so he can rest, finally content.

Alaa, Portland's first pick in the 1990 draft, led Duke to three Final Four appearances in four years. He set a Duke school record for career field-goal percentage with a .599 accuracy. During six NCAA tournament games, Alaa averaged 19.0 points per game, highlighted by a 27-point, 14-rebound effort in the East Regional Final victory over Connecticut. He had 14 points and 7 rebounds in the Championship game against Nevada-Las Vegas. As a Junior, he set an ACC record with 20 consecutive field goals made over a four game stretch. He was selected Mr. Basketball in New Jersey following his Senior year at Bloomfield High. Alaa was born in Egypt and moved to the U.S. in 1971 at the age of two.
