"The Human Highlight Film" is an electrifying leaper who was a unanimous selection on the NBA all-rookie team in 1982-83, won the slam dunk title at the 1985 All-Star Weekend, and has played in five straight NBA All-Star Games. He finished fifth in the league in scoring in 1989-90. Said coach Mike Fratello in 1989, "Dominique has grown as a player every year." Tennis and jazz occupy "U'Nique" in his spare time.
The lithe, high-jumping Duquesne All-American came into his own last season, adding a scoring attack to his fine floor game. A brilliant shooter in college, Green found the range again, pouring in 700 points, nearly twice as many as in any of his previous three seasons in the NBA.
