The 8th leading collegiate scorer nationally in 1967-68, he was the third highest scorer in Utah State history with 1.284 points in his career. Shaler played only two years at Utah State averaging 23.8 points per game as a junior and 26.5 as a senior with 42 vs. Brigham Young.
